This part is our secondary schools programme - which brings together the power of our Dentsu Aegis network to make a positive impact in society and on the next generation of talent.

The Code

We’ve changed the way we hire, the way we open the doors into our industry, and we want to reach those of you who might not have considered a career here at Dentsu Aegis. The Code programme brings together the different career routes into our network and also how our people are making a positive impact on society and the next generation of talent through our secondary school programme.

Whatever your background or skill set, as long as you’re interested in advertising and have an entrepreneurial spirit, everyone is welcome. So if you’re a student looking for inspiration, a college leaver wondering what to do next or a graduate looking for your first job – you’ll find all you need to know here.

About Dentsu Agency Network

Our diverse and growing team in the UK and Ireland is made up of 21 leading marketing and communications brands, each with their own unique specialism, and all united behind one shared belief of ‘Innovating the way brands are built’.

Together, we help our clients build stronger consumer relationships through our distinctive and broad range of products and services across media, content, technology and data. However, it’s not all about what we do, but how we do it is pretty special too.

We believe that when you bring diverse and talented people with unique skills and different experiences together, then magic happens. For us, the most effective marketing solutions are created in the overlaps of expertise, and in the fusion of our combined specialisms. That’s why collaboration sits at the very heart of what we do, so when our clients work with one of us, they can access the full power of our network along the way.

Apprenticeships Work Experience Early Careers Secondary School Programme

We’re hiring 10 apprentices to join the DAN fam in September 2018. To find out how you can kick start your career in advertising or to apply click here

Work Experience

Normally our schemes last one to two weeks. This is a great way to understand our industry better. We have a flexible framework depending on what you’re looking for!  You might be at school, college, university or even looking to try a new career path so our approach works for everyone.

We have ‘work experience windows’ where we’ll put you in a group, you’ll be set a challenge during the course of the week and we’ll teach you some skills to help you out along the way. We’ll make sure you get to experience as much of our business as possible, gain insight into how we work and provide you with future career support.

Early Careers

There are opportunities to join us in real roles throughout the year.  If you’re excited by a career in advertising and media, you’re adaptable and detail-conscious, and take great pride in your work then this is the opportunity for you. This isn’t a formal programme, instead a chance to own your career with support to build solid foundations for the future.

Secondary School Programme

We are working with a number of Secondary Schools as part of The Code, and with over 400 of our people from our network taking part by 2020 we will give back 50000 hours to schools across the UK.

In the classroom: We run a number of workshops to students (aged 14-18) to introduce them to the world of digital advertising and media. We also provide talks into schools about our industry and the career routes in to our sector for young people.

Digital Challenge: At the end of each year we run a Digital Challenge to get young people developing their own advertising campaign tackling issues that are important to them.

Digital Mentoring: We offer online mentoring to students to help them come up with their ideas for the Digital Challenge and also as part of future career support.

Time with Teachers: We spend time with teachers to talk about our business, the types of career opportunities available to their students, the skills that we look for and the routes in to our industry.

Does this sound like something your school would be interested in? If so, email us here to register your interest and we will then get in touch to understand how we can support you.
